An organic botanical infusion of Passionflower, Limeflower, Mistletoe, Cornflower and Chamomile. 80g.
The intention of this Night tea blend of herbs is to help you sleep peacefully, and have fewer disturbances - such as a need to pee or a drink of water, or those intrusive thoughts that ruminate as we try to rest. The blend is gentle enough to leave no 'hangover' effects, yet powerful enough to switch off the mental chatter and relax the nervous system to gift you the rest you need every night.
Passionflower - used commonly as a herbal calmative, for sleep problems, ADHD, sleep problems and anxiety. I love the mild smokey flavour of this herb and how it blends with the other herbs in this mix along with its synchronistic ability to deeply soothe the nervous system and relax the muscles to bring us into a state of peace throughout. It is a herb that if drunk in large doses can be significantly sedative, so in this daytime tranquil brew we have it in a low dose, just enough to relax you to help you enjoy your day, or help you drift off to sleep at night with a smile on your face.
Limeflower - once used by World War 2 soldiers to aid sleep before the invention of tranquilisers! This is a gentle sedative, it won't knock you out as valerian does, just soothe you into a relaxation that will enhance your ability to rest and sleep well. It can help to lower high blood pressure and also has the ability to relieve palpitations caused by nervous anxiety. I often use this herb in children's blends, as it is very gentle and delicious too!
Mistletoe - a herb to slow down the busy mind, bringing a quieter state of consciousness - is akin to having meditated for 10 minutes successfully. Also very helpful for using when coming off other sleep remedies, which often come with rebound withdrawal anxiety effects. Mistletoe will moderate the anxious mind, bringing peace, calm and clarity.
Cornflower - A soothing demulcent that helps the mucus membranes to relax, soften and remain moist. One of the main issues I see in insomniacs is the need to pee at night or wake up with a dry mouth. The cornflower helps to ease both these symptoms, aiding a longer deeper more successful resting period.
Chamomile - a potent yet gentle anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidant herb. Chamomile heals our inner child wounds, especially unexpressed anger stored in the body that disempowers us. Chamomile is soothing to digestion and calming to the nervous system. Chamomile is often used to help people relax and reduce anxiety.
In each 80g pouch of tea, you have between 20 to 40 cups, depending on how strong you like to make it, either 1 or 2 tea spoons per person.
